About Holly's Bakes
Holly's Bakes was first created by me, Holly, during the dreaded 2020 covid lockdown. With more time on my hands then ever before, my love of baking grew and grew in the comfort of my family kitchen. After months of practice, study and great feedback, I decided to take another step forward and begin to try and sell my bakes to the public.
After first launching my creations on social media at the end of 2020, the amount of interest and support was incredible! This along with other factors, made me want to expand even further. It was then clear baking from my family kitchen was not going to be suitable for much longer. This is when I moved to my stunning new kitchen based in Barton Under Needwood.
When first purchasing my new premises at the beginning of 2021, it looked a lot different to how it does now! Before Holly's bakes, the premises was owned by a talented artist who sure did enjoy painting not only on a canvas but all over the walls too!
After months of planning, cleaning & renovating , you could see all our hard work really did pay off by the transformation that finally took place in July 2021.

Once the kitchen was complete, it was time to get moved in! The same as any move, it took a while to get everything transported to the new premises and it also took a lot of getting used to, but to this day, making the move was one of the best decisions I could have made! Having the new premises meant I could now fulfil more customer orders and take on more each day.
As time went on, it didn't take me long to get into the swing of things at my new premises. Before I knew it, I wasn't only baking to fulfil customer orders but I started to provide to the delicious 'Indulgence' cafe too based at Barton Marina. I have continued with this regular order to this day so you know where to visit if you'd like to taste a sample of some Holly's Bakes!
For a long period of time, I was alone in the premises however when it came to 2023, we had some interest to share the property with a well established business by the name of 'Needwood Living'. This company now have 3 lovely homeware, furniture and clothing shops. One based in Alrewas, one in Tutbury and now one below my kitchen space in Barton Under Needwood!
I mustn't forget to mention my premises has also been rated 5 starts by the Food Standards Agency for my food hygiene rating...
As a business I now feel complete! I look forward to hearing from new & existing customers each day and hearing about all their fabulous ideas. Its the best feeling to put all their imaginations into reality. I hope I can do the same for you too!
